methinks he doth project too much

"They had all these people standing up in this church cheering, calling Hillary a white racist, and he didn't do anything about it. The first day he said 'Ah, ah, ah well.' Because that's what they do-- he gets other people to slime her. So then they saw the movie they thought this is a great ad for John McCain-- maybe I better quit the church." - Bill Clinton 2June2008

the full quote (below) is even "artful" as Bill Clinton seamlessly transitions from refuting (well) the Purdum piece in Vanity Fair, to accusing Obama himself of not denouncing the Trinity Church remarks fast enough, then accusing Obama of engineering slime attacks against Hillary via others, then reverting back to more assertions of media bias.

he's called "Slick" for a reason, but the vital ingredient, affability, has worn off. Unless Bill's remarks are carefully calculated to construct the foundation of a "stab in the back" rationale for something beyond the primaries?

time will tell.

"You know he (Purdum) didn't use a single name, cite a single source in all those things he said. It's just slimy. It's part of the national media's attempt to nail Hillary for Obama. It's the most biased press coverage in history. It's another way of helping Obama. They (who?) had all these people standing up in this church cheering, calling Hillary a white racist, and he (Obama) didn't do anything about it. The first day he (Obama) said 'Ah, ah, ah well.' Because that's what they (who again?) do-- he (Obama) gets other people to slime her. (Hillary)... So then they saw the movie they thought this is a great ad for John McCain-- maybe I better quit the church. It's all politics. It's all about the bias of the media for Obama. Don't think anything about it."

Well at least the elongated primary season has proven/revealed that the temperaments, methods, and values of the two final DEM candidates (and their spouses) would be incompatible on the same ticket.

And that makes the whole ordeal worth every minute and nickel spent.
